Gabby’s Barbershop is an independent, queer and trans-owned barbershop located in downtown Calgary, offering thoughtful, detail-driven haircuts and grooming services. Founded in 2023, it is believed to be Calgary’s first openly trans-owned barbershop.

With over a decade of experience, Gabby focuses on classic barbering techniques alongside modern styles, creating looks that feel intentional, wearable, and true to each client.

The shop is also home to Jesse P.—a barber, professional makeup artist, taxidermist, and proud cat dad. Jesse loves creating tapers, modern drop fades, longer styles, and fringes, with a focus on helping every client feel like themselves. Queer, weird, and pressure-free, Jesse’s chair is a safe place to simply exist.

Rounding out the team is Tala, the shop dog, whose laid-back presence—usually from her favourite spot on the couch—helps make the space feel like home.

Every appointment is unrushed and personalized. From precision cuts and fades to beard work and straight-razor shaves, the focus is on quality, comfort, and consistency. The space is designed to feel calm and welcoming—a place where clients can relax, be themselves, and leave feeling confident.
